The Chief Scouts Award is the highest award in each section of the Scouts; Bronze for Beavers, Silver for Cubs, Gold for Scouts then Platinum and Diamond followed by the Queens Scouts Award in Explorers and Network.
In District we like to recognise the effort put into the CSA’s, The Scouts and older sections are invited to a County Reception so we focus on the two younger sections.
Our CSA day took a new format this time to make it more interactive for the young people and parents. Held at Fittleworth Village Hall; the day was split in half with Beavers in the morning and Cubs in the afternoon, they took part in a range of activities, each one based on one of the Challenge Badges that they earned in order to get their CSA. Activities included fire lighting, target shooting with Nerf guns, biscuit decorating, building spaghetti towers (dried not tinned) and X.
The young people were then presented with their CSA certificates by Glyn Pullen, District Commissioner before rounding off the session with sandwiches and cake!
Our heartiest congratulations go to all of the recipients
And we wish them all the very best of luck in the next stage of Scouting
The District would like to thank the Scout Active Support for tea and cakes.
